Opening Saturday 23rd March 2024
‘Mutualism’, a new showing of work by North Wales artist Verity Pulford, opens at studioMADE from 1pm on Saturday 23rd March. We are excited that the opening will also include a tour of the work by the artist – something not to be missed.
The artist explores “A beneficial symbiosis… between sea and land, humans and the natural environment, animal and plant forms; making and sharing practice with others.
As Verity states “… my work is about a connection to nature, the spirituality I find in it, the sense of place. A love of this land I call home, the natural environments I have grown up around, chosen to spend my life alongside. Of Wales and its bounty of beauty, diversity and wonder.”

Mae’r artist yn archwilio “Symbiosis buddiol… rhwng môr a thir, bodau dynol a’r amgylchedd naturiol, ffurfiau anifeiliaid a phlanhigion; gwneud a rhannu arfer ag eraill.
Fel y dywed Verity “… mae fy ngwaith yn ymwneud â chysylltiad â natur, yr ysbrydolrwydd a ddarganfyddaf ynddo, yr ymdeimlad o le. Cariad at y tir hwn yr wyf yn ei galw’n gartref, yr amgylcheddau naturiol yr wyf wedi tyfu o’m cwmpas, wedi dewis treulio fy mywyd ochr yn ochr â nhw. Am Gymru a’i haelioni o brydferthwch, amrywiaeth a rhyfeddod.”
