studioMADE is an artist-led space located in a historic former carriageworks building in Denbigh. It provides studio space and a gallery whilst also aspiring to offer national and international residencies to artists and their families. Our vision is to inspire connectivity within a complex world through a rolling programme of contemporary themed events, exhibitions, workshops and artist residencies.

studioMADE was originally established on the first floor of the Carriageworks as a hybrid studio/gallery space in 2015 by Angela Davies and Mark Eaglen. Discoveries have been shared within a programme of events and exhibition programmes. Since its launch MADE have worked with North Wales International music festival, Music Here, Now, BBC Connected Studios with NESTA and Arts Council Wales, The Superposition at the Lowry, with commissions from Wireless in Wales Museum.

This core activity was mostly self-funded and voluntary. In the spring 2022 the opportunity arose to take on tenancy of the main gallery space at the Carriageworks. Subsequently the organisation was incorporated and launched as a gallery.

During the exhibition programme the gallery is open Thursday – Saturday 11-4pm. Open by appointment outside of programme events.
